Department of the Month – Rooms Division
The day-to-day operations and excellent organization of Kuredu rest squarely on the shoulders of our wonderful Rooms Division. This large department encompasses sub-departments that follow the guests’ holiday through from before they even arrive until the last goodbyes.
Reservations, Sales & Marketing, Transfers, Excursions, Guest Services and Front Office each play their own role in making our daily operations successful. Mr. Muslih and his reservation team are the first people guests come into contact with, before even arriving at the resort. Our airport representatives at the International Airport and lounge host in the Kuredu Lounge at Trans Maldivian Airways are the friendly faces of Kuredu the guests first set eyes upon. Once their seaplane splashes down on the crystal clear waters of the Kuredu lagoon, Mr. Fikry and his Guest Service team welcomes the guests and assigns an Island Host to take care of them until departure. For the duration of their holiday Mr. Vinod and his Front Office team ensure guests queries and requests are followed up and actioned, room allocation requests are attended to and other departments communicated with to ensure a seamless attentive service.
They have excellent communication and organization skills, they give consistently great service but, for Rooms Division, it seems that this isn’t enough! This is a department where the team members are always striving to learn more, improve and gain qualifications and to that end we are grateful to Crown & Champa Resorts for sponsoring the following team members in their studies:
• Ashal, Sanym and Yazir from the front office team have completed their Diploma in Hospitality from Maldives National University
• Shifza from the office has completed her 2 years studies for a Diploma in Hospitality from the same university and she will graduating this August.
• Mr. Fikry, our Guest Services Manager is studying for a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management and will soon be graduating.
The promotion of Mr. Vinod to Front Office Manager is a testament to our philosophy of enabling team members to work their way up the career ladder with us. The opening of our new resort Hurawalhi Maldives later this year will provide the exciting opportunity for some of our team members to further their careers in the 5 star sector.
