Sunny greetings from Kuredu! It’s been wonderful to welcome so many of you to our resort over the past month. We’ve had plenty of sunshine, a scattering of showers (which the islands lush vegetation was thankful for) and balmy temperatures both day and night – typical weather for the tropics.

We will soon be able to share our exciting festive plans with you – they are guaranteed to make Christmas and New Year celebrations memorable with many fun activities that blend traditional with tropical. Before you accept, or offer, invitations for this special time of year at home, imagine how it would be to escape the chaos and experience a Kuredu extravaganza instead!

There’s plenty of excitement to come even before the festive season – the mantas are on their way to the cleaning stations at Fushivaru Thila and it won’t be long before we see happy faces returning from snorkel and dive trips where bucket list dreams of swimming with mantas have been realised. Manta season in Lhaviyani Atoll stretches from October to April, with these amazing creatures getting cleaned as well as feeding on plankton rich waters. If you’ve always wanted to see them, spend as much time in the water as possible during your stay and join the special manta excursions.
