Message from the General Manager – December 2022
Greetings from Kuredu!
Kuredu has been a hive of activity over the last few weeks – we’ve welcomed our special repeater guests, Laurie and Terri, for their 50th visit to the resort and celebrated our 34th Anniversary! As is tradition on Kuredu, we marked our birthday with the Anniversary Cup Final – this year, Kuredu FC were runners-up to MNDF FC (Ministry Of Defence), who won 2-1. As well as the football, there was, of course, cake, and our guests helped to celebrate at the cake-cutting ceremony where Laurie and Terri were guests of honour; a Retro Party rounded the day off in style.
More celebrations are just around the corner with the festive season, and we’ve been busy behind the scenes preparing for lots of fun for you all to enjoy. So if you are joining us, pack your party clothes, dancing flip-flops, crazy hat and pirate costume. We know it is not the usual packing list for a holiday in the Maldives, but it’s party season, and we have a Crazy Hat Party on 23rd December, and on New Year’s Eve, we are celebrating with a Pirates Party! Between those two fun events, look out for Santa’s arrival and the Kuredu Bazaar, where you will find tremendous in-house deals.
Aside from partying and preparing for parties, island life at Kuredu has punctuated with incredible encounters with the gentle giants of the ocean – manta rays. Many of our diving and snorkelling guests have had luck swimming with them. Manta season continues into the spring, so if you want to see them and will be spending the festive season here, write it on your list for Santa – if you’ve been good, you may get what you ask for!
If you are spending the festive season at home with friends and family, I wish you a wonderful Christmas and an excellent start to 2023. If you’re packing those party clothes for a festive celebration at Kuredu, remember to download our App to pre-book your events, and I’ll see you soon!
With very best wishes,
