Sunny greetings from our island in the sun! I’m delighted to share news of our latest award; Kuredu has won TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award 2023, placing us among the top 10% of hospitality businesses worldwide. Of course, we couldn’t have won this award without you, and I’d like to sincerely thank you for taking the time to write reviews about the incredible holidays you’ve experienced at Kuredu.

The past month has seen not only another award added to our collection but also the celebration of World Turtle Day on 23rd May. This is always a special day at our resort, but so is every other day of the year when you have the country’s largest population of green sea turtles residing on your doorstep! Don’t miss the chance to snorkel or dive with these fascinating creatures; they are classed as endangered worldwide, so to spend time with them in their environment is truly a privilege.

June will see the Kuredu community joining millions of others across the globe in marking both World Environment Day and World Oceans Day. 5th June 2023 is the 50th anniversary of World Environment Day, and the theme this year is ‘Solutions to Plastic Pollution’, something we are working very hard towards here at our resort. We have a state-of-the-art desalination plant that uses the science of reverse osmosis to turn the plentiful supply of seawater into delicious drinking water, and we supply it in reusable glass bottles. We also purchase only drinks packaged in glass bottles or aluminium tins, and our efforts are saving an estimated 500,000 plastic bottles from being used each year! Kuredu is proud to work with Parley for the Oceans, an advocate of avoiding the use of single-use plastics, and who collect from our resort the plastic debris washed in by the ocean currents so it can be disposed of responsibly to prevent it from simply ending up back in the ocean.

Those of you staying with us this month can look forward to watching the UEFA Champions League Final, a summer beach party Ibiza style complete with foam and two Kuredu Bazaar events where discounts from our different departments can be found.
