Audrey Hepburn put it nicely, ‘To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow’.

And believing many of you will keep returning to the tropical paradise island that is Kuredu Resort & Spa, Maldives, we want you to have a sneak peek at what we have been doing to make your stay here happy and healthy.

Our Greenhouse Team are in the process of planting papaya trees to add to the list of produce grown on Kuredu. With over 100 trees, the papaya orchard should go a long way in assisting us to supplement our weekly demand.

Along with the famous Kuredu Banana, we also have cucumbers, spinach, spring onion, lemon grass, basil and ornamental lettuces in this month’s cropping calendar. Cherry tomatoes and ginger will be added to the harvest list in June.

In May, the hydroponic house will undergo a refurbishment to its roof and some integral equipment. That said, you can see that Kuredu remains at the forefront regarding sustainable practices. We are saying yes to an eco-friendly resort operation so you can say yes to a healthy holiday in the Maldives!

During your next visit, be sure to book the back of house tour on your next visit to see the gardens in all their splendor.
