The Kuredu Interdepartmental Football Tournament is the most anticipated tournament we host for team members every year. This year we had six teams: Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Guest Transport, Admin, Komandoo, and for the first time a team from our sister-property-to-be, Hurawalhi.

The eventual winners, Admin, played fantastic football during the entire tournament and won the final 2 – 0 against Food & Beverage.

Special trophies were awarded for the worthy winners:

Best goalkeeper: Hussain Rameez, waiter
Best defender: Abdul Muhusin, pool villa attendant
Best midfielder: Ibrahim Ahusan, reservations agent
Best forward: Abdulla Usam, cost control clerk
Player of the tournament: Ahmed Habeeb, receptionist
Top scorer: Ahmed Rizunee, room attendant

We now look forward to hosting the Anniversary Cup in November/December, when Kuredu football pitch will host teams from other resorts and local islands in what is the biggest event of its kind in this area of the Maldives.
