Message from the Resort Manager – May 2022

Dear Guests,
The month of May at Kuredu has been remarkable – not only for long sunny days and the many happy holidays we have hosted, but Kuredu has also been named, by renowned DIVE Magazine, as one of the 10 best dive resorts in the Maldives – no great surprise for our regular dive guests but an honour considering we have over 120 other resorts here in the Maldives all offering diving – it’s a true credit to the team at Prodivers and our resort team who make our divers’ holidays so special.
We also celebrated our resident turtle population during World Turtle Day – it’s always extra special here as we have the largest community of green sea turtles in the Maldives residing at our reef and dining on our seagrass meadows – a staggering 20% of the Maldives green turtles call Kuredu their home! If you dream of adventures that involve swimming with turtles, Kuredu is the place for you, and Emily at the Marine Biology Center is looking forward to introducing you to the turtles on your next visit – you can pre-book a snorkelling session with her via our app. In the next few weeks, there are two more important events on the global conservation calendar: World Environment Day and World Oceans Day. Since our resort island is surrounded by the most incredible nature both above and below the surface of the ocean, they are causes very close to our heart and we know you will want to join us in preserving it for future generations.
Our popular Repeater’s Cocktail Parties resume this month, which the entire team are very happy about – it’s always great to see familiar faces and hear their news. On this note, I would like to congratulate Jürgen and Dagmar Marshall for their 32nd visit to Kuredu and we look forward to seeing you again in August for your 33rd visit!
A new and convenient addition to Kuredu is the new Food and Beverage desk in the Main Area, it will make the booking and enquiring about Kuredu’s dining activities even easier than before – pop along and find out about all things foodie and organise that beach dinner you’ve always wanted to enjoy.
As we move out of high season and into June, we can still expect plenty of sunshine and look forward to seeing more of you during the summer season – if you haven’t booked yet, now is a great time to do so as not only are PCR tests no longer required but we have also extended our summer 2022 offer! If a trip later in the year is what you had in mind, you’ll be pleased to know we’ve released two incredible early bird offers – one for the upcoming winter season and another for summer 2023 – time to make your holiday dreams a reality!
The rest of the team and I are looking forward to welcoming you to Kuredu very soon,
With very best wishes,
Pascal
