Message from the Resort Manager – September 2022

Dear Guests,
Greetings from Kuredu! It’s been wonderful to see happy guests extending their summer by enjoying a relaxing break in the Maldives. If you’re one of those warm weather souls who wish that summer would last forever, here at Kuredu, we can certainly help to make it last a little bit longer, or even bring you the feeling of summer when autumn takes hold at home.
You can almost feel the excitement here as the dive centre prepares for the onset of manta season – the first mantas of the Lhaviyani season have already been seen so it promises to be a wonderful few months ahead. Of course, it’s not only mantas that grace our waters, we are very fortunate to have an abundance of marine life on the reefs around Kuredu, including the largest population of green sea turtles. As part of our marine life sustainability program, we encourage our guests to follow the protocols and avoid any physical contact with sea creatures of any kind. Turtles especially are protected by law and touching or chasing them is strictly prohibited. Please do pop into the Marine Center or Dive Center during your next visit to find out more about respectful and sustainable encounters with our iconic marine life.
Amongst the resort team, festive cheer is being prepared for with an entertaining festive season just around the corner- I hope to be able to share it with you. Don’t leave booking until the last minute though as the festive season and the following few months of the high season are very popular, with availability reducing by the day.
We’ve been busy at Kuredu with a number of events and celebrations already; long service awards of 30 years or more have been given to our long-standing team members, our housekeeping team have enjoyed special events as part of International Housekeeping Week and most recently, the resort team joined colleagues from Prodivers and guests in the global environmental event of Clean Up the World. Our celebrations have also extended to a very special couple who recently returned to Kuredu for their 33rd visit, we were delighted to welcome back Mr. & Mrs Marshall who are amongst many of our dear repeater guests who return year after year and call Kuredu their home away from home.
Kuredu is a resort for all; an outstanding choice of villas and different areas of the island that each has a very different atmosphere ensures that no matter what you’re looking for in a Maldives holiday, you will find it here. Families with fun-loving children, couples looking to celebrate romance, solo travellers and groups of friends will all find their haven at Kuredu.
If you are yearning for an escape, check our special offers page and you’ll be counting down the days in no time!
With very best wishes,
Pascal, Resort Manager
