Helping to Protect the Ocean with Sea Change Wines

As part of Kuredu Maldives’ ongoing committment to sustainability and looking after the environment, we are proud to offer ‘Sea Change’ wine as part of our Kuredu Wine Tour and within our Sangu Wine Cellar List.
Sea Change is an environmental wine concept by ’10 International’, a socially conscious family run wine business. The concept was launched in response to the huge environmental challenges facing the World’s oceans due to plastic pollution, with the aim to help tackle this global issue by way of generating and donation of funds to key ocean and marine based charities and environmental projects.
The range consists of 3 IGP quality French wines – a white – Sauvignon Blanc, a Provence style Syrah Rosé and a red – Merlot, all produced by Châteaux Canet in Languedoc which is managed according to the guidelines of sustainable viticulture. Packaging of the product is kept to a minimum – the lightweight bottles are made from 85% recycled glass with no plastic used in the finished product. Labels are made from 15% grape waste and the remaining raw materials are from FSC certified forests. The corks are biodegradable, being made from biopolymers dervived from sugar cane.
Here at Kuredu we are surrounded by beautiful lagoons and the endless blues of the Indian Ocean, where divers and snorkellers delight in seeing the abundant marine life of our surrounding coral reefs and we are very aware of how precious this environemnt is. Sea Change wines, along with our many other conservation endeavours will help us do all we can to protect the ocean and creatures living there, not only for future generations but for the health of our planet as a whole.
