Kuredu Maldives Solar Power Resort

Following on from the success of the installation of the water bottling plant at Kuredu, the Management Team are keen to continue to push Kuredu to the forefront of resorts in the Maldives with our environmental policies.

With Kuredu and the Maldives being well known for its sunshine (up to 10 hours of sunlight per day can hit the island during a couple of months of the year), harnessing this renewable energy source seemed to be the logical step for the Resort.

We are pleased to announce that the ‘Solar Project’ is now well underway on Kuredu, and already a large portion of the Team Village has been decked out with solar panels on the roofs of the buildings. The project is expected to be completed in May this year.

With an average power supply of 600KW anticipated from these solar panels, Kuredu will be able to reduce its impact on the environment and embrace the fantastic sunshine that we are lucky enough to see almost every day of the year!
